One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Northeastern U.S. origin, possibly Bissett Family, Old Bridge, NJ, second quarter 19th century, ovoid jug with applied handle and tooling to shoulder and spout, the front decorated with a stylized tulip, the reverse with cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A shallow chip with short line to top of spout. Some light surface wear to body. A very minor, in-the-firing base chip, which is glazed over.
