Glazed Redware Jar with Coggled Decoration, attributed to Jacob Heart, Chambersburg, PA origin, circa 1840, cylindrical form with tapered shoulder and narrow rim, the shoulder with coggled leaf motif, the base with coggled pyramidal cross-hatching. Surface decorated with light streaks of manganese and covered in a heavy clear lead glaze. Excellent, essentially as-made condition, with some light scratches to surface. H 6 1/2".
