Small-Sized Stoneware Jar, Stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO'," PA origin, circa 1850-1880, cylindrical jar with squared rim, covered in a light cream and tan colored glaze with spots of a gray clay ground visible throughout. Excellent size. Hairlines on underside, one of which extends 2 1/2" up base of jar, and another, which extends 1 1/4" onto base. An additional line in glaze only, extending nearly top-to-bottom on front, not visible on interior. H 5 3/4".
