Slip-Decorated Redware Loaf Dish, probably Phladelphia, PA origin, circa 1830, deep loaf dish with coggled edge, the interior decorated in yellow slip with six groups of wavy slip lines interspersed with three groups of dots, flanked by large bands. Excellent overall condition with a rim chip to one end, a smaller chip near opposite end, and a shallow, possibly in-the-firing chip to one side. The interior survives in remarkable, essentially as-made condition with minimal surface wear. L 14 5/8".
