Two Pieces of Northeastern U.S. Stoneware, fourth quarter 19th century, a two-gallon crock with cobalt chicken pecking corn decoration, paired with a one-gallon crock with impressed eagle-and-flag motif, attributed to Gardiner Stoneware Manufactory, Gardiner, Maine. Chicken crock with exfoliation, staining, and a few shallow base chips. Eagle crock in excellent, essentially as-made condition with a glazed-over iron ping to rim on reverse.
