Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Parrot Decoration, Stamped "F.B. NORTON & CO / WORCESTER, MASS", circa 1870, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a parrot perched on the stem of a leaf. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Excellent color. Large spider lines in underside, which form an approximately 6" wide, tight T-shaped line at base on left side of crock's front.
