Two Slip-Decorated Redware Plates, Huntington, Long Island, New York origin, circa 1807-1860, both with coggled edges and yellow slip decoration, one with slip-trailed design of a leaf surrounded by a looping line, the other with impressed geometric motif. Provenance: Donald Matties Collection. Larger plate with significant professional restoration to interior and small unrestored rim chips. Smaller plate with significant restoration to interior. Diameter (of larger example) 12 1/8".
