Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Northeastern U.S. origin, third quarter 19th century, squat-shaped jug with tapered spout and applied handle, decorated with a brushed stem bearing two flower blossoms and a flower bud. Freehand cobalt "2" above. Excellent, essentially as-made condition.
