Two Pieces of Stoneware, American, second quarter 19th century, a two-gallon ovoid jug with floral decoration over slip-coated surface and iron make-do band around midsection, possibly Midwestern origin, paired with a one-gallon ovoid jar with cobalt tulip decoration, New York State origin. Jug with restored handle, thin cracks, and shallow base chips. Jar with rim chips, glazed-over flaws to one handle, two base nicks, and a crack in reverse side, extending from shoulder area onto underside.
