Rare Rustic Pottery Mug, Signed "JOHN FRITZ / 5th R. SOMERSET. ST. / PHIL," Philadelphia, PA origin, circa 1890, molded in the form an oak tree with branch handle bearing leaves and acorns. Molded banner at shoulder. Rust-colored glaze on interior. Exterior with traces of original cold paint, the surface covered in a shellack. Incised signature on underside. A small chip and some nicks to rim. Wear to original paint. H 4 1/2".
