One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "BROWN BROTHER , / HUNTINGTON, / L.I.," New York State origin, circa 1870-1885, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with two brushed flowers extending from a leafy stem. Cobalt higlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Provenance: Donald Matties Collection. Restored 1 1/2" chip to back end of one handle. Otherwise excellent condition.
