Four-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "BROWN BROTHERS, / HUNTINGTON, / L.I.," New York State origin, circa 1885-1905, cylindrical crock with tooled shoudler, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with two diagonally-brushed flowers with leafy stems. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Provenance: Donald Matties Collection. Restoration, presumably to hairlines around much of base. A minor filled handle chip.
