Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "BROWN & BROS / HUNTINGTON, L.I.," New York State origin, circa 1863-1870, squat-shaped jug with squared spout, decorated with two brushed tulips above a sylized leaf. Light cobalt accents to maker's mark. Provenance: Donald Matties Collection. Excellent condition with a glazed-over spout nick, a small iron ping near base, and faint, possibly in-the-firing line on underside.
