One-Gallon Stoneware Cake Crock with Stenciled Cobalt Decoration, Stamped "F.H. COWDEN / HARRISBURG," circa 1880, low-walled cylindrical crock with semi-squared rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a stylized stenciled geometric design. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals and maker's mark. 2" chipped area to right handle. Two top-to-bottom cracks from rim on reverse.
