Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Batter Pail, attributed to Nathan Clark, Jr., Athens, NY, circa 1860, ovoid pail with tubular pouring spout and wire bail handle, the front decorated with a brushed floral design featuring a tulip and cloud-shaped blossom. Rim chips. Chips to handle on reverse. Typical wear to areas surrounding holes at shoulder where wire fits through.
