Rare Redware Pot, Stamped "BORDENS BAKERY," probably New York State or New England origin, 19th century, approximately one-half-gallon tapered pot with semi-squared rim, the interior covered in a clear lead glaze, the shoulder impressed with advertising for "BORDENS BAKERY". This unusual piece of advertising redware was found in a collection of primarily Northeastern U.S. stoneware and redware amassed in the Long Island, NY area, and was possibly made in the region. Excellent condition with minor wear to interior and two small in-the-firing stone pings to rim. H 4 3/4" ; Diameter 6 3/4".
