Small-Sized Redware Inkwell with Domed Top, American, late 18th to early 19th century, with unusual domed top and circumferential incised line accents, the top fashioned with a central hole surrounded by three smaller quill holes. Surface covered in a blackish lead-and-manganese glaze. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, from an inkwell collection amassed over the last thirty years, consigned to this auction. Heavy wear to central hole and upper edge area. Diameter 2 3/4".
