Three Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Cake Crocks, Mid-Atlantic origin, 19th century, a one-gallon example with brushed swag and floral design, Baltimore, MD origin; an unmarked example with foliate design, attributed to the Pfaltzgraff Stoneware Co., York, PA, and a two-gallon Bristol-slip-glazed example, stenciled "THE / P.S. CO / YORK PA." Baltimore example with crack from rim connecting a large semi-circular crack on underside, several rim chips, and a pre-firing base chip that was brushed over with cobalt. Unmarked cake crock with a hairline crack and minor filled chips. P.S. CO crock with several hairlines, several rim chips, and small handle chips.
