Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1825, ovoid jar with heavily-tooled foot, tall collar, and applied tab handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a brushed cobalt tulip and swag design. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. 5 1/2" spider crack descending from rim, which becomes very thin at its final two inches. 7/8" chip to one handle and a minor chip to opposite handle.
