Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Stripe Decoration, Western PA or Palatine, WV origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, decorated with three brushed stripes and a freehand "2" flanked by dashes. Minor rim nick and some dark-colored residue to surface. Faintness to cobalt.
