Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, second half 19th century, a two-gallon ovoid stoneware jar with cobalt floral spray, stamped "J. & E. NORTON / BENNINGTON, VT."; paired with a three-gallon churn with stylized floral design accented with X's, Midwestern origin. Norton jar with rim chips, some staining, spider crack on underside, continuing several inches up reverse of jar. Churn with large J-shaped, sealed crack from rim on reverse.
