Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "JOHN BURGER. / ROCHESTER," New York State origin, circa 1860, ovoid jug with thick spout, decorated with a large slip-trailed design of a daisy plant with three buds, including heavily-shaded details throughout. Slip-trailed "3." above. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with some minor wear to cobalt.
