Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Bottles, Northeastern U.S., second half 19th century, one with cobalt-highlighted spout, featuring the impressed and cobalt-highlighted advertising "M H SWIFT & Co / WHITE BEER"; the second impressed with cobalt-highlighted advertising "A.L, DRAKE". Swift bottle with shallow chip to end of word "BEER", possibly in-the-firing, a nick to spout, and circumferential wear at base of neck. Drake bottle in excellent condition with a bit of in-the-firing clay to neck and some traces old paint. H (of Swift bottle) 10 1/4".
