Two One-Gallon Strasburg, VA Stoneware Jars, fourth quarter 19th century, one stamped "GEO. W. MILLER / STRASBURG, VA" with Lehew-style cobalt foliate brushwork, unusual for this mark; the other with manganese swag decoration, stamped "S. BELL & SON / STRASBURG". Miller jar with a few rim chips, a 6 1/2" hairline from rim, a large salt drip to one side, a black marker inscription on underside. Bell jar in excellent condition with a few minor rim chips.
