Diminutive Stoneware Presentation Mug with Cobalt Decoration, Inscribed "A.L.H. / 1890," Ohio origin, 1890, barrel-form mug with applied handle and Albany-slip-glazed interior, the mug's circumference decorated with heavy cobalt banding and a drape-and-dot design around the shoulder. Inscribed in cobalt across the midsection. Handle decorated with cobalt stripes and spots. Probably a child's mug. Proenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, recently found in the Midwest. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 3".
