Two Pieces of Northeastern U.S. Stoneware with Cobalt Decoration, second half 19th century, a one-gallon jug with cobalt leaf decoration, stamped "A.B. WHEELER & CO, / 69 BROAD STREET / BOSTON, MASS."; paired with a four-gallon churn with elaborate flowering plant design, stamped "WHITES UTICA". Churn includes unrelated six-gallon jar lid. Wheeler jug with spout chips, a 2" flake to underside at edge, two other base chips, and some staining. Churn missing one handle, with crack extending several inches up front, an iron ping near base, additional cracks on underside, with one extending onto base of reverse, some wear to inner rim, a large base chip, and some fry to cobalt. Heavy chipping and a salt drip to lid.
