Scarce Spongeware Pitcher with Lady Liberty Motif, American, late 19th or early 20th century, featuring a raised design of Lady Liberty holding a flag and Federal shield on both sides, the handle in the form of an eagle's head. Surface covered in cobalt sponging over a Bristol slip ground. Small rim chip. Two small, in-the-firing chips to body on one side. Minor nick to figure's nose on opposite side. H 10 3/8".
