Scarce Redware Apple Butter Jar, Stamped "D. SWOPE & SON / LANCASTER, PA," 19th century, ovoid jar with applied handle and lead-and-manganese-glazed interior, the shoulder impressed with unusual "D. SWOPE & SON / LANCASTER, PA" maker's mark. Rim chips and two short hairlines from rim. H 6 7/8".
