Two Half-Gallon Stoneware Jars with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Pennsylvania origin, circa 1850-1880, an ovoid handled jar with tooled shoulder and squared rim, decorated with a brushed swag and hanging flower design on the front and reverse, Southeastern PA origin; paired with a cylindrical jar with swag and hanging flower design, attributed to the Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA. Ovoid jar with tight spidering hairline to underside, a 2 1/2" inverted Y-shaped hairline from rim, and a small rim chip. Cylindrical jar with thin, tight cracks to base and underside.
