Small-Sized Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Philadelphia origin, circa 1880, semi-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and squared rim, decorated with brushed cobalt swags extending completely around the shoulder. Numerous small rim chips. Two small in-the-firing base chips. A very short and minor surface line at base, probably in-the-firing. H 7 1/4".
