Unusual Stoneware Jar with Large Cobalt Centennial Date, New York State origin, 1876, cylindrical jar with applied lug handles and tall collar with semi-rounded rim, the front decorated with the large slip-trailed cobalt date "1876", surrounded by dots, and underscored with a flourish. Rim chips. Handle chip. Spider line on reverse.
