Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Parrot Decoration, Stamped "F.B. NORTON & CO / WORCESTER, MASS.," circa 1870, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a boldly slip-trailed design of a parrot with striped back and shaded breast, perched on a large leaf. Two minor chips to one handle and a tiny nick to opposite handle. Two chips to interior of rim. 2 1/2" x 1 1/2" flake to underside at edge. Other minor base wear. Some discoloration to surface.
