Glazed Redware Jar, Pennsylvania origin, 19th century, squat-shaped, ovoid jar with footed base and rounded rim, the surface covered in a marbled glaze composed of streaks of manganese overlaying cream-colored slip. Wear to rim. Light wear to exterior surface, and typical light wear to interior base. Hairlines on underside, continuing onto base area. 2 1/2" hairline from rim. Two minor chips to underside at edge of foot. H 4" ; Diameter 6 5/8".
