Unusual Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Swag Decoration and Raised "F" Stamp, Stamped "H. MYERS," Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1825, cylindrical jar with footed base, squared rim, and rounded shoulder accented with a tooled line, the jar decorated completely around the circumference with a brushed cobalt swag design. Impressed with "H. MYERS" maker's mark on shoulder below an impressed raised-face "F" with sawtooth border. An additional stamp at the base was created by impressing the tip of a key into the clay. Partially-restored Y-shaped crack, including some restoration to rim where crack extends to. This crack also extends across the underside. A faint Y-shaped line visible on interior only.
