Six-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Paddletailed Bird Decoration, attributed to the N.A. White & Son, Utica, NY, circa 1885, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed and slip-trailed design of a crested bird with paddle-shaped tail, perched on a flowering vine. In-the-firing separations to handle terminals. Chips to interior of rim. A chip and a minor nick to exterior of rim.
