Scarce Rockingham-Glazed Lidded Jar, Stamped "W. BROMLEY CINCINNATI / OHIO NORTH AMERICA," circa 1845, molded cylindrical jar with footed base and open handles, featuring a raised grape vine and acanthus leaf design on the front and reverse. Underside with raised design of a Federal eagle above W. Bromley maker's mark. Includes original domed lid with molded grape vine handle. Long, tight Y-shaped line under one handle. Long, tight inverted t-shaped line under opposite handle. Some glaze blistering to interior, and lesser glaze blistering to exterior. 1 1/8" chip to edge of lid, two other small rim chips, and a minor flake to top surface of lid. 2 1/2" loss to flange on underside of lid. H 11 1/2".
