Green-Glazed Redware Jar with 1837 Date Within a Heart, possibly Pennsylvania or New England origin, ovoid jar with footed base and applied strap handle, the surface covered in a bright-green copper glaze and decorated in orange and white slip with a heart bearing the date 1837, flanked by flowers. A few small iron pings to body. Some wear to surface, rim, and handle. Shallow chipping to base. H 5 1/4".
