Unusual Glazed Redware Teapot with Coggled Decoration, Pennsylvania or New England origin, 19th century, with footed base and gooseneck pouring spout, the body decorated with two rows of coggled circular decoration. Includes original domed lid. Surface covered in a lead glaze over a colorful yellowish orange ground. Chips to edge of lid. A chip and a few minor nicks to finial of lid. Small chips to tip of spout. Some glaze wear to handle. Chips to applied clay flanges at rim, which hold lid in place. Some typical, unobtrusive glaze wear to rim. Tight line on underside, continuing onto base area. Two additional lines on interior base, not visible on exterior. H (including lid) 6 1/2".
