Fine Lidded Redware Jar with Combed Incising, New England origin, early 19th century, small-sized cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder and tall collar, including original lid with round finial. Combed incised around the shoulder and rim. Additional combed incising around circumference of lid. Jar covered in a streaky reddish-brown lead-and-manganese glaze. Small chip to exterior of rim. Wear to rim. Lid with shallow 1/2" edge flake and minor wear. H (including lid) 7 1/2".
