Rare Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "WHITE & WOOD / BINGHAMTON, NY," circa 1880, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a fan-tailed bird with crest, perched on a leafy branch. Essentially as-made condition with some fry to cobalt and a tiny iron ping to rim.
