Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Fantailed Bird Decoration, Stamped "WHITE & WOOD / BINGHAMTON, NY," circa 1880, cylindrical jug with tall spout, decorated with a boldly-slip-trailed design of a fan-tailed bird perched on a leafy stem. Excellent color. 3 3/4" x 1 1/4" restored section to base. Heavy restoration to spout. 2 3/4" x 2 1/4" in-the-firing dry area at base on reverse.
