One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "W. ROBERTS / BINGHAMTON, NY," circa 1865, cylindrical jug with rounded spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a bird with spotted breast and fan-shaped tail, perched on a stylized branch. Chip / contact mark near base. Chip and iron ping to bottom edge of jug. 1" contact mark on reverse. Areas of staining. Some minor surface wear to side of jug.
