Two Stoneware Cream Jars with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG, PA," circa 1865, both of similar ovoid form and two-gallon capacity, decorated with brushed tulip and stylized floral designs. Tulip-decorated jar with staining, area of fry to cobalt, a rim chip, and minor worn spot on interior of rim. Other jar with sealed 8 1/2" hairline, fry to cobalt, rim chips, light wear to handles, and a faint surface line on reverse.
