Two Glazed Redware Spittoons, American, 19th century, one with carved semi-circular opening and lead-and-manganese-glazed surface, paired with a lead-glazed example with brown-flecked surface, carved semi-circular opening, and tooled banding. Lead-and-manganese-glazed example with 3" recessed contact mark, a smaller contact mark, and chips. Other spittoon with chipping to top of opening, a U-shaped crack with chipping at top edge, and a few other chips to top edge. H (of smaller spittoon) 3 3/8" ; Diameter (of smaller spittoon) 6 1/4".
