Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Cake Crocks, PA origin, second half 19th century, a three-gallon cake crock with cobalt tulip decoration, stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG," paired with a one-gallon cake crock with cobalt floral decorations on the front and reverse, attributed to R.J. Grier, Chester County, PA. Cowden & Wilcox crock with rim chips, two cracks, exfoliation to surface, and a handle chip. Grier crock with exfoliation to surface and a chip on interior of rim.
