Philadelphia Stoneware Jug with Elaborate Advertising, American, late 19th or early 20th century, shoulder jug with Bristol-slip-glazed surface, featuring various advertising slogans for "BYRAM'S BEST BRAND / PURE 'WHITE MALT' VINEGAR / A PERFECT PRODUCT / BRAIN AND NERVE FOOD! / A WINE OF LIFE / A WONDERFUL TONIC! A GREAT TABLE LUXURY". Ingredients and various uses listed on the sides of the jug. Front reads "J. EMORY BYRAM / & CO. / SOLE AGENTS / 236 CHESTNUT ST. / PHILADA PA.". Base chips and a few short in-the-firing lines at base. A few chips to edge of shoulder. Minor nick to handle.
