One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Spittoon, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1870, with concaves sides, footed base, and carved oval opening at shoulder, decorated with brushed leaves around the midsection and accents around the opening. Excellent condition with a short minor surface line at base and shoulder, both of which appear to be in-the-firing.
