Scarce Large-Sized Tanware Flowerpot, New York State origin, circa 1880, tapered flowerpot with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and attached saucer, decorated in reddish-brown Albany slip with a series of circular floral motifs surrounded by foliate brushwork. Brushed swags around the shoulder. Excellent size and strong decoration. 3/4" stone ping at midsection. 3" hairline from rim. H 9 1/4" ; Diameter 10 3/8".
