Scarce One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "BURGER & LANG / ROCHESTER, N.Y.," circa 1875, ovoid pitcher with flared base and semi-squared rim molding, the front decorated with a slip-trailed flowering plant with fan-shaped blossom. Brushed cobalt highlights to maker's mark. Shallow base chip on reverse. Chip to bottom edge of spout. A shallow 1" flake to interior of right side of spout. Chip to upper right side of spout, where it meets the rim of the pitcher.
