One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1830, ovoid pitcher with footed base and tooled rim, decorated completely around the midsection with a leafy vine bearing tulips. Tulip decoration on each side of spout. Spout flanked by swags and cobalt band around rim. Restoration to cracks, which have yellowed with age, one of which extends onto underside. Restoration to tip of spout. A few base chips on reverse.
